Adding/changing a profile cover/header image
When you click on someone’s profile, no matter the platform and there’s an option for a profile header and it is BLANK. To me personally, that’s an indication that the profile may be SPAM, or the person just really doesn’t give a rat’s behind. So why should I about them? I say that they don’t care about their image or lack in some way. I’m I just a social media snob? Studies show I’m not alone in this electronic first impression stream of thought.
So when creating and updating your OutBüro profile, be SURE to upload a profile header image that’s cool, interesting, pretty and/or says something about you and your interests. A picture is worth a thousand words and currently, besides the profile image of your smiling face, this is your opportunity to immediately make an impact, an impression on your profile visitor. Make it count.
From your OutBüro profile page click the camera image in the top right area of your profile header image area.
The options of Reposition and Modify will appear due to the default profile header being present. Choose Modify to add your own image.
The Change Cover Photo box will appear. Choose Upload Photo. A typical file manager system window will appear. Navigate your system to locate the image you want, then select it and choose “Open” or whatever the choice is on your system.
In our example, the image is a large file and not fully showing.
We can reposition it so that the best parts of the image is viewable. Select the camera icon and this time select the Reposition link. Next, simply click on the image holding down your mouse button and drag the image up or down until it’s positioned as you like. Finally, click the save button.
