Steps to Register

From the OutBüro home page, select the green “Join us now” button or the “register” link below the site login.

Complete the short registration form with a User Name, Email, and Password.

After the initial registration, you’ll be automatically taken to your profile page. In order to participate in the OutBüro community, there are 3 required profile fields to complete. Your first name, last name and the email address you’d like the other site members to see and use which may be different than the email you used to register on the site with.

Choose the “edit” button next to each. Complete the information and then select “save” for each.

After completion of at least these 3 fields, you’ll be able to begin to participate in the community.

Notice the “Edit All” button in the top right. Use that to toggle all your profile fields into open edit mode.

Also, notice the buttons just to the left of each line’s edit button. It will say Public, Site Members Only or Only Me. This is your ability to set if and how your information is viewed via the site by others.

Public – makes that field available to the full internet.

Site Members – make that field only viewable to other members of the site who are logged in.

Only Me – is just that. The data although populated will only be available to you, and the site administrators. Some fields such as those where we are striving to collect demographic information to better understand you and the whole community will be forced to “Only Me” so that you don’t accidentally make those fields public. We respect your privacy and do this to help protect it. The inform
