How to ask questions. It seems simple since as humans our first words relied heavily on asking “Why?”. But when it comes to research, journalism, and even podcasting or as a YouTuber, “why” can be a great start, but depending on what comes after that can lead you down a path of connection and discovery or shut your study participant/interviewee down. The latter can happen when the question makes assumptions and may put the person in a defensive mode or worse feeling utterly offended. Ali Mustag is here to help you get to the heart of your research or interview topics with deep insights in a way that is open, respectful, engaging even if you have absolutely no personal connection with the subject matter.
Ali is in the process of finalizing the deployment of a systematic approach to forming questions in a manner that significantly increases getting the answers you seek from your research study participants, sources, or interview guests. This approach is well suited for academic research studies, marketing research studies, commercial product or service studies, reporters, journalists, interviewers, YouTubers, podcasters, recruiters, consultants, mental health professionals and so many more. If you want to get people to open up and provide detailed full informative responses to your questions, Ali’s training is could be right for you.
