My professional focal points include: policy analysis and development, team collaboration, economics, economic development, and strategic planning.
Currently, I am the Managing Director for Global Equality Initiatives at Out Leadership - the largest and oldest coalition of companies working towards LGBTI Equality. Previously, I was a Human Rights Officer at the United Nations, Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights. In this position, I co-authored the UN Corporate Standards of Conduct for Business -the largest LGBTI corporate social responsibility initiative supported by 272 of the largest companies in the World. Additionally, I led a project on campaigning for equality in Africa designed to reduce human rights violations, inequalities, and exclusion experienced by people of diverse sexual orientation and gender identity in Africa.
I volunteer on the Board of eight non-profit organizations: (1) Outright Action International, the leading international LGBT human rights organization, (2) Housing Works, a non-profit fighting the twin crises of AIDS and homelessness in NYC, (3) the Institute of Current World Affairs (ICWA) which supports fellowships, (4) the NYC Gay Men's chorus, (5) the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOT) Committee (Treasurer), (6) Witness to Mass Incarceration which works with formerly incarcerated people, (7) Alturi - a direct funding LGBTI NGO, and (8) the KindRED Foundation.
Colleagues describe me as a progressive, driven, down-to-earth, strategic, and analytical expert who can be relied on to offer superior solutions that deliver profitable results on time and under budget.
